Junior Academy provides competitive play for our developing and experienced players aged 7 – 12 (8U – 12U). Practices are structured with age-appropriate activities focused on field positioning, ball control, tactics and scrimmages. Teams play in an approved competitive league at a division or level appropriate for the team. Division selection is established on a team by team basis at the discretion of the coach with the support of club leadership. The league includes mostly other Charleston area and coastal district teams, which means limited travel.
Children are placed on teams based upon their birth year.
$475 per year (fall & spring seasons included).
Some team variable costs (tournaments and referee fees) are managed (and paid) at the team level. These are not included in the Club Fees and will be collected later by team coach/manager.
You should expect about $20 for referees and $40 entry fee per tournament (for guidance, depending on level and ambition of team, this can vary between $20 and $100 per season)
Scholarships (Financial Aid)

Training and Schedules
Teams are coached by USSF licensed, experienced volunteer coaches. Advanced technical training is provided each season led by coaching professionals. Training is scheduled two evenings per week.
Game format is played in line with U.S. Soccer directives for small-sided games, which is 7v7 for 8U/9U/10U and 9v9 for 11U/12U.
All players will be responsible for their own uniform. Some teams may opt to solicit sponsorship to offset that cost.
These are purchased directly from Lloyds Soccer in Mount Pleasant and a full home and away set will cost around $180.
We rotate our uniform every two years and our next cycle starts in Fall, 2020. This means you will see 2-4 seasons wear out of each purchase.
