Cainhoy Athletic Soccer Club player evaluations for the 2023-24 season ended on May 24th, 2023
Our coaches will make final decisions and invite players to their teams by end of day, Memorial Day (Monday May 29th). In some cases we are still working through creating new teams to host as many of the applicants as we can and unfortunately this process is taking longer than we would like due to many moving parts.
If you have not received an invitation by Tuesday (30th) morning, we strongly encourage your family to look elsewhere for a soccer home this fall. We will provide links here to our local recreation departments to help in that search

Evaluation Process
Player evaluations or “tryouts” are held at the end the spring season, typically around late April and early May. Our goal is to identify and place players on a team where they are challenged, but also find success and enjoyment.
We do not charge a registration fee for player evaluations. Players of all levels are welcome.
Use the player Birth Year and Season Matrix to identify which age group to attend.
What to Expect
On the scheduled date(s), players will arrive and check in with club staff. You may receive a number to attach to your jersey so coaches can identify your player.
In each age group, coaches will run a series of activities including small sided games to demonstrate how well each player performs the skills necessary to play soccer. These skills include technical proficiency, athletic ability, attitude, agility, and overall soccer knowledge.

Once the evaluation is over, the coach will follow up and extend invitations to join a team. Successful candidates will be asked to register with the club, which is a financial commitment to confirm your intent to join.
