Cainhoy Hurricanes Finish in the Semifinals at Southern Presidents Cup

The Cainhoy Hurricanes finished regional play in the semifinals of the 2018 US Youth Soccer Southern Presidents Cup in Greenville, SC. The Hurricanes started strong with a 2-0 win over Athens United 05 Gold (GA) on June 13 and a 3-1 win over Trussville United Soccer Blaze 05 (AL) on June 14. Despite falling 2-0 to Austin Texans 05 (TX-S) on June 15, they still made the semifinals as a wildcard.

The Sting Dallas 05 Roach (TX-N) won the semifinal 2-0 over the Hurricanes as well as the final 2-0 over OK Energy Central Green (OK) and will move on to the 2018 US Youth Soccer National Presidents Cup, July 11-15 in Westfield, Ind.

The Hurricanes made the most of their trip to Greenville with plenty of activity on and off the field. A big thank you to several local businesses and their hospitality.

LeMans Karting treated the U13 Cainhoy Hurricanes to a go-karting celebration.

Buckys BBQ of Greenville treated the Hurricanes to a celebratory bbq dinner.

Breakout of Greenville was generous enough to give the team a celebratory game of escape.

D’allesandro’s was incredibly generous and provided the Hurricanes with a celebratory pizza party after beating Alabama.
